Automechanika Frankfurt is over, and so is our week in Germany. From 8 to 12 September 2026, the KEBEL team stood on the show floor at Messe Frankfurt — the world's largest trade fair for the automotive aftermarket — meeting buyers, workshop owners, and distributors face to face.
Here is what the week actually looked like, what we took away from it, and what happens next.

The headline figures — more than 4,400 exhibitors from over 80 countries, more than 100,000 professional visitors from 170+ countries — read one way on a website and another way when you are standing in the middle of it.
Messe Frankfurt is one of the largest exhibition complexes in the world, and during Automechanika week it runs flat out. The main entrance was busy before opening: badge checks, full escalators, and aisles between the halls that stayed packed from morning to the last call. For a supplier, that density is the whole point — in one week you meet more serious buyers than in several months of cold email.

Our booth was built around what KEBEL does every day: bumpers, plus the exterior parts program that goes with them — grilles, hoods, headlights, fenders, and cooling systems.
The coverage spans American, European, and Japanese makes — the three vehicle families our buyers actually service — with the year, trim, and market variations sorted for each application.

The vehicles our buyers service span German, Japanese, and American makes — and a supplier that only covers one family of vehicles loses the conversation before it starts.
That is why the range on our board was deliberately mixed, with American, European, and Japanese applications side by side. Breadth is only as good as the data behind it: whichever line a buyer pulled from their own sales list, the question was always the same — "does it fit my exact year and trim?" — and the fitment data had to be there to answer it.
Compliance was the other recurring thread. For a European buyer the first technical question is often certification, so we made ours visible: CE, DOT, SABER, and e-MARK — with e-MARK what most lighting and lamp buyers wanted to confirm for the European market.
Three things, in the order they kept coming up:
